On Tuesday, Verizon announced they brought yahoo for $4.48 billion. The pervious CEO Marissa Mayers resigned after being hired five years ago. Mayers will step down with a $23 million package deal.
Yahoo is now combined with AOL. The name of the company is now called Oath. Luckily, the Yahoo and AOL brand will remain the same. The new combination will include, HuffPost , Yahoo Sports, AOL.com, Makers, Tumblr, Build Studios, Yahoo Finance, Yahoo mail, and more.
Tim Armstrong the former CEO of AOL is now CEO of Oath. Armstrong said, “We’re building the future of brands using powerful technology trusted content and differentiated data.
