Amazon Offers 50% Discount for Prime Membership For People on Government Assistant

Amazon is making life easier for Americans who gets government assistance. Amazon says anyone who receives Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), and Woman, Infants, and Children Nutrition Program (WIC) qualify to receive a discount of nearly half of Amazon Prime subscription.

Vice President of Amazon, Greg Greeley said, “We designed this membership option for customers receiving government assistance to make everyday selection and savings more accessible, including the many conveniences and entertainment benefits of Prime.” So instead of the usual prices of $10.99 per month or $99 per year, anyone who has a valid EBT card will only have to pay $5.99 a month.
